Residents’ Mini Zines!
What’s a mini zine?
A mini zine is a miniature magazine folded from one sheet of paper.
The only rule is that there are no rules! You can add anything that you want to your pages. Each mini zine has 8 pages: front, pages 2-7, and a back.
For the ZAR&R Resident mini zines, we have a front cover, information about the resident, 3 fun facts about them, a map of where they live, a poem they wrote, 5 true facts about the kind of animal that they are and a back cover.

Why did you make so many?
I made 31 as part of a creative way to kick start 2024 as part of an art activity called Fun-A-Day Pittsburgh (they have them in different places too!)
Do they help with writing books?
Yes! There are so many residents at the ZAR&R and this was a great way to get to know them better! You can use mini zines to help you get to know your characters better.
